If you want to know what’s hot and steamy in the music candy-shop for 2015, you've come to the right place. At the moment, the genre that is riding the high wave to scene domination is EDM.

Club-hoppers can’t seem to get enough of the fast, pulsating, and energetic beats of the dance genre. However, the genre is extremely volatile, and highly unpredictable. The sounds that are popular today may be bumped out of the exit door before the start of tomorrow, for instance the grindy hypnotic beat of Deep House is the current champions EDM and sounds of Big Room appears to be headed for extinction.

But then again Trap is making a come-back, so it could rule the roost, as the year progresses. We’ll have to wait and see.In the spinning’ sector, the likes of Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Skrillex, Aviccii, David Guetta, Deadmau5, Armin Van Buuren are firmly riveted into the top slots of the world’s best DJ’s, and they’ll probably be there for a good while longer.

Hip-hop is bright and bloated with super talents, Lil Wayne, Kanye West ,Ne-Yo, Rihanna are still the blingers, but we’ve also got Iggy Azalea and Nicki Minaj spitting out fiery lyrics, which are sometimes aimed at each other. Watch out for fresh names like Kendrick lamar, J.Cole, just to name a few.

In the pop world Charlie XCX, would be someone to watch, she’s got the sultry retro groove going on which is totally danceable. Sia’s amazing voice and music is quickly propelling her up the charts. In case you thought, Sia’s voice sounded familiar, it must be pointed out that Sia was Rihanna’s vocal coach.

For those of you, who still love croony acoustic music then you can drown yourself in the melodies of Ed Sheeran, if his voice doesn’t melt your heart, then play some Calvin Harris. Although Harris is not purely acoustic, he’s got some catchy tunes that will be jiggling in your head long after you’ve stopped listening.

In 2015 Music Festivals promise to be bigger than big, the list of great cannot-miss festivals are endless, there’s Coachella, Tommrow Land, Exit, Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Zoo, and the one close to our hearts Sunburn.

Mark your calendars and make sure you attend the minimum number of festivals this year.Happy Jiving!
