Priyanka Chopra scorches, Obama drops mic

  • May 02 18:57 PM

Trust Priyanka Chopra to stun you at every turn. Quashing the will-she wont wont-she debate, PC attended the 102nd annual White House Correspondent’s Dinner in a sexy black plunge-neck Zuhair Murad gown. The ‘Baywatch’ reboot star wore her wavy hair simply, with just a centre part with rosy nude lip and simple eye makeup.

And as if flooring the Obamas was not enough, the ‘Quantico’ star also promised to get involved in Michelle Obama’s girl education programme.  Later she posted on her social network profile: Lovely to meet the very funny and charming @barackobama and the beautiful @michelleobama . Thank you for a lovely evening. Cannot wait to start working on your girls education program #whitehousecorrespondentdinner.

The star-studded evening saw the likes of Emma Watson, Michele Dockery, Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith, Aretha Franklin, Karlie Kloss, Adriana Lima and Kendall Jenner amongst others. While Helen Mirren wore a purple Dolce and Gabbana gown and sported a temporary tattoo in the shape of the “Love Symbol,” a tribute to Prince, who died on April 21, Emma Watson wore a flirty white jacquard dress with a red floral print over navy blue pants. Kendall Jenner 50-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond stud choker would be talked-about on social media for days to come.

The dinner is the last one to be hosted by President Barrack Obama as this year marks the end of his term. Comedian Larry Willmore of ‘The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore’ was the entertainer for the evening. Every year, the biggest names in media and Hollywood rub shoulders with the who’s who of politics. In his roasting session, the president united celebrities, journalists, politicos and his potential successors by taking them down, not even sparing Hilary Clinton or Ted Cruz. Obama closed his speech with "Obama out," and a mic drop before receiving a standing ovation from the nation’s bigwigs.
