Inside look: Yuvraj and Hazel's wedding

  • December 10 16:52 PM

You are definitely not a part of this planet , if you managed to miss the grand wedding soiree of Hazel Keech and Yuvraj Singh last week. Starting with a traditional shaadi in the Gurudwara followed by the pheras in Goa and a reception in Delhi, the bridal couple looked spectacular in an handcrafted couture wardrobe created by JJ Valaya. While the palette for the bride and groom's trousseau stood in tandem with each other, it was nice to see how Hazel ditched the stereotypical red for different shades wine and blue.

Right from her sangeet outfit which was a jacket paired with a floor length anarkali in navy and beige, to the  wedding garb stitched in burgundy velvet with gilded embroidery, the 'Royal Bride' theme was surely a part of Keech's bridal ensemble. In fact her reception outfit featured hand embroidered motif of elephants on blue colour lehenga. For Yuvi, the designer created a kurta in subdued tones of beige and ivory paired with bundi and bandhgala jackets in shades of wine, navy and blue.

While the couple looked spectacular, the guest list which included a mix of cricket fraternity with Bollywood and politicians, complemented the reception night in their best designer wear. From Geeta Basra who looked stunning in a peach anarkali with Harbhajan Singh in a burgundy jacket to Sagarika Ghatge in an ivory colour Rohit Bal ensemble, gave fashion critics a chase for their jobs of scrutinising wardrobes. In fact Rahul Gandhi who attended the duo's Delhi reception looked sharp in a white kurta pyjama paired with a navy bundi. Zaheer Khan too stunned the paparazzi when he made an entrance with Ms. Ghatge in a royal velvet jacket.
