Returning after four long years on LFW runway, Rohit Bal took us to a different era altogether through his illuminate-theme inspired  ‘Koroshni’ collection at the grand finale of Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2016.

From choosing a heritage breath-taking location to the stunning 3D mapping effects projected on the beautiful heritage structure left the viewers mesmerized last evening. Spotted on the front row of his grand finale were Huma Qureshi, Shobha De, Ad Singh, Mehr Rampal, Yash Birla and more.

Doing what he does best Rohit’s fabulous craftsmanship and eye for detailing were contemporary yet rooted to our Indian heritage. Designers’s love for handloom mulmuls, rich silk velvets, hand spun silks were all very prominent in his haute couture line this season. Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan turned showstopper for the evening looking drop-dead gorgeous in Bal’s Summer/Resort 2016.

Speaking about his fantastic collection the designer said, “Thrilled to be back as the Grand Finale designer after four years, I designed a collection of red carpet ready garments that are high on allure, incorporating floral patterns and colours that are bright, apart from my eternal favourite- ivory and muted gold. Literally a celebration, the entire show was conceptualized to reflect the sparkle of a crystal and bring alive the “illuminate” theme.”
