5 Dont's for Valentine’s Day Makeup
Yes, you want to look as flawless as an angel on this special day, but you also have to make sure that you don’t spruce up like a Christmas tree.
Don’t dip your face in foundation
Going on a date with your loved one doesn’t mean that you have to camouflage every flaw. Your natural skin colour isn’t your flaw; let your skin show – the more natural it is the better. Cover the problem areas and let the luminous texture of your skin shine through.
Don’t overdo with the highlighter
Believe in us when we say that. Your date would love a natural flush rather than the oh-so-glam fake bronze look. Give your highlighter a rest – yes, you want that luminous glow on your face but you don’t want to look like a flashlight.
Don’t forget your lips
You probably would be getting a kiss or two – we sure hope you get more than that – so, keep your moist and exfoliate them well and pop on some colour on them but keep them matte and avoid the gloss.
Don’t do glitter
Give those glittery eyeshadows a rest and your glitter pumps and your glitter spray. Stay away from glitter. In the hopes of looking good on your date, don’t turn up looking like a Christmas tree.
Don’t try something new
It’s good to experiment but please don’t try that new eyeliner trick or that cool-new-updo just a few hours before your date – you are going to land yourself in a teary mess. Do what you know best.
Don’t be lazy
Don’t wait until last minute to do your hair or your makeup. It never ends well. Always prepare in advance. Do your makeup first and then go in to do your hair. Being lazy won’t give you that relaxed look you are aiming for.
