Best beauty looks at the Grammys
We always expect our artists to drop an idiosyncratic bomb at the Grammy’s – at least, where their beauty choices are concerned. This year though, our favourite musicians have decided to be a bit attenuate. But, we do have some quintessential crown braid
Take a look at the music industry’s diva. She has mastered the natural look; not that we expect any less from her. With barely any makeup there – just nonchalant waist-length waves, glossy pout and that bronzed décolletage – she has got us in the palm of her hands.
Now, there is nothing about this look that we are not in love with. She has those perfect, side-swept-platinum-blonde locks with visible roots with dramatic, mascara loaded eyes and a discreet amaranthine lip – of which we have become a fan of.
This is a first. Stefani has chosen to steer away from a cerise pout. She has chosen to pair up her punk inspired – quiffed crown chignon – hairdo with glossy tawny lips and must we say that she looks refreshingly glamorous in this look.
Until these Grammy’s we had thought that we have seen all the braids that were there to see, but we had Iggy’s crown braid to stupify us. Her hair is secured in a thick inside-out French braid at her crown, recreating the look of a luminous halo.
We totally dig Hudson’s new look. The tousled pixie with a bold purple lip and the added drama of perfectly winged eyes provides just the right amount of pop for the artist. We wish we could carry off that purple though.
This look has just the right amount of edge without making it look too rough; with her razor-sharp bob and the shiniest slick-do we have seen until now. To top it all off she wears a sexy oxblood lip and keeps her eyes bare just with long lashes.
Just when we had thought ombré was out Mcphee came in to prove us wrong. She rocks the ombré locks a deep center part, wet look and what steals the show away is the fact that she adds a retro vibe to the modern look with those big white hoops.
Ohh Katy why do you look so magical no matter what colour your hair is? She looks astral in her lavender locks and has transported us to a fairy land. To finish off her dreamy look, we have the perfect winged eyes with fluttery lashes and glossy nude lips.
Kim K has jumped on the bob wagon. Her lob looks ever-so-sensuous as she keeps it carelessly tousled and those glittery-gold smoky eyes with her signature long lashes and a tawny lip. This look had us eating our hearts out.
We are over the moon to see Lady Gaga hiding her face behind some obnoxious prop. We love her mermaid look with quixotic, smoky aqua eyes with extra long lashes and a soft pink lip and to top it all her tresses were an enchanting silver-blonde swept over to one side.
We are all for Minaj’s look. Retro winged liner with a nude lip and long ebony tresses slicked back with a quiff are perfect to give her a rocker vibe. Her utterly simple look stole our hearts.
Talk about a Ora’s new pixie. We still can’t believe our eyes, but must we say that no van look oh-so-glamorous as she does with her blonde-pixie cut and those wispy side bangs with an added drama of those epicurean, dark smoky eyes.
We have fallen in love with her the teal shadow used on her eyelids – just lining her upper and lower lash lines. She looks like a nymph with sexy cerulean eyes, baby soft lips and her signature lob parted at the side.
Talk about the 1930s hair. Braxton sports the perfect red carpet look with a pixie crop and old Hollywood finger curls. She has unleashed the power of an eyeliner wand with perfect winged eyes and brow-grazing lashes teamed up with a roseate lips.
This artist knows how to attract attention. She loves wigs and extensions and is always a step ahead when it comes to making a statement. She rocks a 90s look with a deep brown lip colour with profound brows, heavily kohl-rimmed eyes and lashes loaded with mascara.
