Beauty looks to take away from the London Fashion Week
Take Away these looks
Side parts are in again – not that they ever went out of fashion, but this time around they are more meticulous. We have the exquisite side-sweeps at Bora Aksu, where models have deep side-parts gliding across their foreheads and reminding us of the 50s. Models at David Koma had soft side-parts with gently tousled hair. At Osman, models went in for the sexy wet look with deeply parted sides.
Yes, your red lips are still in vogue and they have become more profound. The models at Julien Mcdonalds sported a fastidious cerise pout and a fresh face with fluttery lashes with their hair slicked back in a wet look, taking us back to the 90s. At Marianna Jungmann models went in for a high bouffant with an oxblood bow pout. So ladies, go ahead and take out the deep reds perform art on your lips.
Funky eye colours
At Eudon Choi, the models had their eyes dotted with black and blue in a soft cat eye. The models at Fyodor Golan had their eyes line with lime-green and hot pink lashes. At Minnah Hui the models looked like frozen queens with frosty silver eyeshadows smeared to their eyelids. At Michael Van Der Ham, they lined their eyes with a magical amaranthine colour. Basically, be daring and swipe any colour across your lids.
The fresh faced models with perennially flawless skin walked the runaway for Hunter Original and Jamie Wei Huang. They had an ethereal glow that caught the light with sumptuous glossy lips. Event at Simone Rocha, the models had profound eyebrows and a bare face. So, keep a healthy skin for a fresh look.
Crimp it up
Get the 70s back in business. We know that your crimping tools must be rotting away in some corner, but now you can get them out and put them to good use. At Lulu Liu the models wore a sleek low slung ponytail with their strands crimped up and at Preen the models walked the ramp in a center-parted, disheveled crimped look.
Take out your nails paints and mix them together and form a camouflage print like the ones that models wore for Ashish, or go ahead with your nudes and form geometric line – the way it’s done for DAKS. You could also grow your nails super long and with them with gothic colours to get the effect from the Vivienne Westwood show.
Should we say that the red eye became a statement on the runway, with models at Apu Jan carried a stark line of red eyeliner – and a soft red stain – to the models at Mother of Pearl, who had their eyes lined with red eyeshadow – being their only highlight on the otherwise, fresh face.
