The secret behind Lisa Haydon’s flawless glowing skin and shiny lustrous mane
One Bollywood actress who looks flawless even without a makeup or a done up hair is Lisa Haydon. We caught up with the actress while she was endorsing a leading shampoo brand and asked her to share her beauty secrets with us. Read the full interview here.
What is the secret behind your lustrous locks?
I use to swim as a child and at that time I really had long unruly hair and I was just never happy with the texture and the colour of the hair. It’s very time consuming at that age to wash your hair every night. One day my mom bought me and my four sisters a Pantene conditioner when we went to the club and we were like oh-my-god our hair feels so good! Then I started using it very regularly. The one I use is so nourishing and easy on my hair that I love using it. Also if you keep yourself strong, healthy and beautiful from inside then that will reflect in every area of your life.
What do you eat for your glowing skin and shiny locks?
I love to eat fruit in the morning. I am very good with my diet until about 4 PM.I always have a salad with lots of protein and a glass of vegetable juice in the afternoon. But by the time 4pm rolls around I am completely craving for something sugary. I eat something sweet in the afternoon but then in the evening I actually have a very healthy dinner like potatoes, vegetables, proteins and a lot of spinach. At home we love to make big dishes like salads. I kind of have the biggest meal in the night. I know some people say that it’s not correct but I like to eat heavy dinner.
Do you have an early dinner?
Yes, I have an early dinner. At 7 or 7:30 I am starving.
Tell us how do you take care of your hair even after your rigorous workout regime?
I actually don’t mind my hair dirty for two or 3 days because I feel it falls better. Obviously it needs things like blow-dry or something in between but if I can get out by doing two workouts and washing my hair then I do wash. But I can’t keep unwashed hair for more than two days especially with the kind of weather we live in Mumbai.
How do you manage oily scalps after workout and having to head for a shoot straight there after?
Quite frankly some of the hair stylists do like it oily. Not oily scalp but they like the weight in the hair. When you wash your hair it becomes very light and fluffy and sometimes they put all sort of hair wax and gels to give some sort of weight to the hair. But before the shoot I do ask my stylist if they want me to come with clean hair or unwashed hair.
