Here’s a secret behind Sonam Kapoor’s well-toned midriff as revealed by her fitness trainer Radhika Karle.
Radhika says, “Sonam’s exercise routine varies however generally during the week this is how we break it up.
3 times per week – Pilates on the Reformer. This is a great way to develop core strength along with long lean muscles.
2 times per week – functional training where we focus on full body workout and most often this is compounded exercises where there is an upper body exercise and lower body exercise done together.
2 times per week – interval training: this is 3 rounds of exercises hitting all large muscles (quads, hamstrings, glutes, abs, chest and back) with 3 minute bouts of cardio in between each round.
To get toned abs like Sonam it definitely requires you to follow a strict diet. We asked her trainer Radhika on the diet chart that the actress follows and this is what she had to say, “Currently we are focusing on a high protein diet plan for Sonam. She is working out 2 times per day when possible so she needs the protein to rebuild the lean muscle mass. She does have simple carbohydrates in the form of 2-3 servings of fruit and 2 servings of low-fat Greek yoghurt per day. This ensures her energy levels and blood sugar does not drop during her long and hectic days”.
Lastly the only three golden rules for Sonam’s nutrition plan according to her fitness trainer is to drink 4 liters of water every day, no fried food, sweets and sugar.
