The grand opening of the "India International Jewellery Week" in Mumbai kicked off with tribal,contemporary and regal designer pieces.So if you are headed for a wedding or a cocktail you have plenty to choose from.
1) Sumit Sawhney's Victorian neckpiece with elements of the Hasli with gold claws and innovative anklets and head piece from his "Apala by Sumit" collection was a fusion of royal and tribal bride which Sunny Leone carried off well.
2)Preet Jains' "Amour" collection in V shaped ruby,emerald,diamond necklace set in gold with matching earrings and kadas looked very elegant on Kalki Koechlin.
3)Raani Haar, nose ring,haath phool of designer Moni Agarwal's "Meeravali" collection was the highlight as Chitrangda Singh ended the show wearing them all.Its all about the polki's this season.
4)Budding jewellery designer Harshini Jethani's emerald,diamond necklace and hand cuff stood out on Gauhar Khan.
5)The matching maang tikka and necklace in red ruby and diamonds by Gitanjali has a traditional touch which is worth trying.Blame it on Neha Dhupia and Ankita Shorey if you end up picking them all this season.
6)A statement scalloped collar studded choker with rubies and emeralds in white and yellow gold diamond by Surya golds on Ameesha Patel is totally worth trying if you want to make a statement.
