Here’s how you could make a difference for the people of Nepal
The 7.9 magnitude earthquake that hit Nepal on April 25, 2015 was the country’s worst in 80 years which rocked the entire Kathmandu city. The tremors were also felt in neighboring countries like India, Bangladesh and Tibet. With more than 3,300 deaths in Kathmandu though rescue and search efforts are still on in different parts of Nepal, the country is in need of medical, shelter, food and water supply.
People are still trapped under the collapsed buildings and age old monuments. Nepalese born NewYork based Fashion Designer Prabal Gurung reached out to all his followers on social media through an open letter to help the victims and the country by asking his followers to contribute to his organization ‘Shikshya Foundation Nepal’. The designer also tweeted, "Pls help my fundraiser. #Nepal #EarthquakeFund #Donate & spread the word. Every #dollar counts #HelpNepal".
The funds will be used to rebuild houses and provide all the necessities that the people of Nepal will need on immediate basis. Here’s how you could make a difference for the people of Nepal.
