Master draper and ace couturier, Tarun Tahiliani showcased his A/W’14 collection in support of the Sachachari Foundation over the weekend. Through the show Tarun Tahiliani showcased the incredible workmanship and textile in India celebrating the ‘Modern Mughals’.

Known for his ready-to-wear bridal collection he used cotton and cocoon to contemporary construct; blurring the lines between adorning and dressing. The show also included the menswear collection which brought Savile Row tailoring expertise from Whitcomb and Shaftesbury which blended with signature TarunTahiliani designs.

From the draped drama of the couture range in light pinks, jade and mauve to shades of twinkling champagne and playful pinks in zari, resham, Lucknawichikankari work, it was overall very festive, feminine and youthful.

Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha concluded the show for the designer in a gorgeous beige anarkali gown which looked as light as air. Muted tones and breezy layers of the anarkali kurta are as light as a summer day and something to look out for this bridal season.
