Kalki Koechlin muses Ritu Kumar’s new french obsession

  • August 10 14:07 PM

Besides wander lusting on the northeastern frontiers of India with her father, Kalki Koechlin will soon be spotted on billboards fronting couturier Ritu Kumar’s latest campaign. Appointed as the new face of Label by Ritu Kumar’s autumn winter ’16 campaign, the actress was captured prancing around Pali Hill in floral ensembles in the designer’s new collection for Label.

With Kalki on board, this will be the second time in a row Ritu Kumar has a French involvement, as the designer launched her SS ’16 collection earlier this year in association with French designer Samy Chalon. The print campaign has Kalki in a 50’s vintage glam doll look; sporting boho chic looks in floral prints and pastel colours.

‘I’m thrilled to feature in the Label Autumn-Winter 2016 campaign by Label Ritu Kumar. They really understand my style and my fashion aesthetic’, said Kalki Koechlin. Talking further about the collection, she said, ‘It was great to wear such beautiful pieces from their autumn winter collection while having a great time on the shoot’.

Giving us more insight on this association Ritu Kumar said, ‘We are extremely excited to have Kalki on board as part of our AW’16 campaign. The essence of the collection lies in portraying vintage glamour in a contemporary way. We also wanted to immerse ourselves in the wearer’s lifestyle - a mix of music festival, daytime chic and evening soirees.’

Already featured across the brand’s various social media platforms, we can’t wait, but anticipate the campaign’s billboard launch.
