It was the 42nd Grammy Awards in the year 2000 when Jennifer Lopez rattled the world in the not-so-modest iconic jungle print dress by Versace on the red carpet and she showed off her magic afresh at Milan Fashion Week this season. Moments after the show ended, Instagram feeds were inundated with the 'Hustler' star playing to the audience with her supermodel strut in a new adaptation of the jungle print dress and this time Donatella's left nothing much to one's imagination. Here's some more trivia about this iconic creation by Versace -
1. Back in 2000 when JLo wore it the first time she was the most searched celebrity and Viola! The Google Image Search tool came into existence.
2. JLo has worn a jumpsuit with the same palm print in her music video 'I Luh ya Papi' and a bodysuit version for her Bronx concert in 2014.
3. This tropical print number first appeared on the spring runway in Milan, then Donatella herself wore it at the 'rock-style' themed MET Gala event in 1999 and then by the Spice Girl; Geri Halliwell; in January 2000 but somehow JLo wore it best, making fashion history.
4. A replica of this dress is displayed at the Grammy museum in LA, and we couldn't agree more with them calling it 'The Dress'.
We wonder what the future translations of this dress will be but sure as hell can say that history will, most definitely, repeat itself!
